Villanelle is the premier queer events space in Chicago.
We are queer-owned and -operated, and while we are open to all, our focus is catering to the queer community.
Villanelle is located on Chicago Avenue, directly above Dorothy, our sexy, subterranean, seventies-inspired lesbian cocktail lounge. Villanelle and Dorothy are both available to host any party for any occasion.

Whitney LaMora
Founder/Creative Director
Whitney LaMora is the driving creative force behind Villanelle and Dorothy, as well as curator, talented performer, and leader in the Eventbrite Creator Collective. Her work and shows have been featured throughout Chicago, and she has helped raised tens of thousands of dollars for local queer organizations through her organizing.
Zoe Schor
Founder/Chef
Zoe Schor is an East Coast-native living in Chicago, and the culinary creative for Villanelle and Split-Rail. She is a James Beard Nominee, Chopped champion, and passionate biscuit-maker. She would be happy to design your dream menu for your wedding or big event!
